Eagle Scout Program
The USSVI has a national program that recognizes and rewards members of the Boy Scouts of America who obtain the rank of Eagle Scout.
Representatives of the local base of submarine veterans will attend the scout's Court of Honor, take part in the ceremony, and present the scout with a certificate of achievement. A short recognition of the qualities and standards of scouting as compared to the qualities and standards of the U.S. Navy Submarine Service can be included as well.
Many Eagle Scouts over the generations have exemplified themselves in later life due to the training and experiences in the Program. This includes Presidents, Astronauts, Military Leaders and Industry Management.
